RAGE will be offering a Special Athlete Team for the 2011-2012 Season!!!!
The newest addition to the RAGE All Star Cheer program will be our Special Athletes team- PASSION!!!!! This co-ed team will be compromised of athletes of all ages with any type of disability. Special needs is defined by the USASF as a disability characterized by impairment of skills overall intelligence in areas such as cognition, language, motor and social abilities. All athletes are welcome on the entire spectrum of their disability, including athletes in wheel chairs!! The program will be headed up by our team coach and owner, Ryan Smith, who holds a BS in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, and a Child and Youth Care Emphasis from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse. Upon graduating she was then a Senior therapist running in home therapy programs for children with Autism. Members of the National Champion RAGE team will assist in developing this new program. With competitive cheerleading your athlete can build physical fitness, coordination, self confidence, and discipline. RAGE will provide an enriching, rewarding, and fun experience for your special athlete and family! RAGE will work to help your child grow mentally and socially through their activities, and to help them exhibit courage and enthusiasm by taking pride in their abilities. They will also learn the rewards of friendship by being paired with a RAGE team buddy whom they will get to know personally. Please help spread the word about this AMAZING up-coming program.
